Alternative School Programming

*New for 2024-2025 school year

Emerson South will offer the same academic programming, which is as follows:

• 7 periods per day for initial credit (2 semesters)
• Credit recovery in Edgenuity with classroom support 

Alternative programming now allows students who are on track to graduate but need the benefit of a more supportive environment to access the program.  Additionally, students who are in need of credit recovery can also work at their own pace to recover credits.

Emerson South Mid-High School provides students with a non-traditional setting where each student can endeavor to reach their individual potential by acquiring the skills, knowledge, and values they need to become competent productive citizens.

What Makes Emerson South Mid-High School Unique?

Accelerated Schedule
Our Accelerated Schedule allows completion of a traditional semester in 9 weeks. A determined student can complete high school diploma requirements in a significantly shorter time period.

Flexible Scheduling
Flexible scheduling offers students both morning and/or afternoon classes.

More Individualized Instruction
Dedicated faculty & staff and smaller class sizes help students succeed.

Emerson Middle School
We have small classes teaching all the core classes and electives. The program has a condensed schedule but offers rigorous direct instruction.
